A and R Rothen Ltd are a company operating in the marine plant hire service and inland waterway maintenance and repair sectors.

We provide a range of specialist narrow beam vessels, both powered and unpowered, as well as associated plant and equipment such as Piling Hammers, Clamshells, Excavators, Dumpers and Rollers etc. all of which are available to hire by those working on Britain’s canals and rivers, undertaking repairs and maintenance. We also undertake a variety of contracts directly ourselves, such as the removal of Aquatic Weeds, Pile installation, Weir clearances etc.

We are registered in England & Wales (Company No 6894449) and hereinafter referred to as “We”, “Our” or “Us”.

Any personally identifiable information given to A and R Rothen Ltd will only be used to support the customer relationship.

We will only collect sufficient information on our potential, existing or past customers to allow us to communicate with them in an appropriate way.

This information will consist of the names and preferred contact details of our potential, existing or past customers, and will be used to communicate with the potential or existing customer in order to understand their needs and requirements, quote for works/services to be provided by ourselves and ultimately provide our services/fulfil the works in question, as well as for billing purposes.

Providing they have consented to receiving marketing communications, we will also use this information to contact potential, existing and future customers and update them on products and services which we think would be of particular interest to them. In addition, we will also make contact in order to gain feedback on any recent services or products that existing and past customers have been provided with by ourselves. We will always give our potential, existing and future customers the opportunity to unsubscribe from such marketing and market research contact and will honour such requests.

  • Right of rectification – the right to correct data that we hold to ensure it is accurate and complete
  • Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances the data subject can ask for the data held to be erased from our records
  • Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply, the data subject has the right to restrict the processing of their data
  • Right to portability – the data subject has the right to have the data we hold transferred to another organisation
  • Right to object – the data subject has the right to object to certain types of processing such as Direct Marketing
  • Right to object to automatic processing or profiling – the data subject has the right not to be subject to the legal effects of automated processing or profiling
  • Right to judicial review – in the event that we refuse a data subjects request under rights of access, we will provide a reason why. The data subject has the right to complain.

All of the above requests will be forwarded on should there be a third party involved in the processing of the personal data in question. The data subject can exercise the above rights at any time by contacting us via the means outlined in our ‘Contact Us’ section of this notice.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA

We will only retain the personal data of our potential, existing and previous customers for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes the data was collected for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

We will take reasonable steps under Article 17 of the GDPR to meet data subject requests. Data back ups can take up to 60 days to remove specific data from our systems.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY NOTICE

Any changes we may make to our privacy notice in the future will be posted on our website and, where appropriate, data subjects will be notified by email.
